BF4 Multiplayer is too much fun to pass up
Once you get past any launch bugs and some frustrating crashing problems, the game is TONS of fun. Solo the game can be fun, but playing with a group of friends is when the game shines (talking about the Multiplayer). Coordinating tactics with squad mates and working together is soooo much FUN! Playing Obliteration game mode where your "mission" is to take a bomb that spawns in the middle and blow up the other team's objectives is easily the most fun I've ever had in a Battlefield game and probably up there in most fun experienced in a game. The epicness of moments when you and your buddies fight off some enemies for the bomb and escape on a jeep, jet ski or even a helicopter while everyone is shooting at you and stuff is exploding all around you is incomparable. The game looks really great. The landscapes are very pretty and the particle effects everywhere are really cool. Helicopters exploding is one of my favorite features. Every time I see a helicopter blow up I'm delighted. The way that they will spin out once destroyed is just plain awesome. It's a very cool effect!Single player looks really nice (other than some cutscenes that look like garbage) and the characters look like the actors portraying them. Michael Kennith Williams is pretty great, just like everything he's in. The campaign is short though, and not very memorable. Plenty of bugs, clipping, and crappy weapons. If you buy the game, don't buy it for anything other than the multiplayer. It alone is worth the money, the campaign is just extra stuff to do and a means to unlock some items for multiplayer. I played the beta which had it's fair share of bugs and even at launch there were some bugs but plenty of them have been ironed out and the dev team continues to work to fix them, releasing fixes in a fairly timely manner. If you love First Person Shooters and playing together with teammates is something you're not against, BF4 is a game you should definitely check out.

Great game-some bugs-just origin with problems
First off this game is good game- it has some bugs but that's what you should expect when buying a game that just came out. The problem I had with this game was origin. Origin was not able to what so ever to download my game, so here is what I had to do to fix it. I hope this solves download issues for you people who have my problem because it did for me when I recently figured it out. This is from the answers EA when I wrote how to solve this problem. Before I tell you, you need to know that when you buy this game that you may have some bugs. If you are patient go ahead and get this game but if you are not and do not handle bugs well then don't get the game"I tried doing this when downloading some games but it did not work what's so ever..... Recently I bought Battlefield 4 and of course I had many download problems with it; loop backs, and download freezes. I tried everything that everyone said and it did not work. Then it came to me origin likes to randomly pick computers it will download (I know this sounds stupid but it is true). So with that in mind I decided to create a virtual machine using virtual box.... now you must have your windows 7 or whatever the OS is and install it on the virtual machine.... when you create your virtual machine say for example windows 7 you can go 30 days without registering it. When the OS is installed and running the first you need to do is install origin and since the game is already in your library you can download it in the virtual machine..... However WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT RESTART COMPUTER EVEN WHEN WINDOWS 7 INSTALLS UPDATES AND WANTS TO RESTART... The for this is the virtual machine is like a new born child it has no stored memory on it. Wants you have installed origin start downloading the game this should work if not you must delete that virtual machine and create a new one. Once game has downloaded copy the files onto your real computer in the origin games library... once done copying start origin. Origin will then say 100% downloaded and then it will began to install once finished game is ready for playing. I hope this works for you origin users like me who have trouble downloading."

Must buy at $5 | bugs fixed and plays great | Not also getting the DLC maps is a hindrance
Love the Battlefield series, and had so much fun playing this when the game first released on the Playstation 3, that I thought I'd give it another go on PC. There are still plenty of people playing Battlefield 4 that one can easily find servers with enough players to fill matches. At ~$4, purchasing this game is a no brainer. The game runs pretty well, especially on modern computers with adequate specs. Most if not all of the bugs and shortcomings this game had in the beginning have all been fixed for the most part. And with all of the content like maps, weapons, tools now available make for a great experience. One of the only downsides I am mildy annoyed with is that the game requires players to utilize a separate launcher to play the game. This means that on top of having to also use EA's launcher service Origin, one also needs to use a seperate launcher known as Battlelog. It's a slight inconvenience at best, and an annoyance that takes up a bit more of a computer's resources at worse when playing Battlefield 4. Games like Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, and Battlefield 1 all need Battlelog to be able to play. The newest game, Battlefield V (5), does not require the service. Also, the extra content like DLC maps have regularly become free or are at very low prices that it shouldn't be an issue for new players, and I don't doubt they'll become free again. Paid DLC maps are a product of bygone times that are not present in the newest Battlefield game (Battlefield V).All in all this is still a great game that has fixed most of not all of its majors flaws and bugs from early on, and there are still a good number of players active that can fill numerous game lobbies. The DLC maps might be an issue for new players, so getting the Premium version might be more preferable and recommended instead, when it goes on sale again of course. For about $4 the game is an incredible deal.
