For 2 months I was very happy with this adapter for my Galaxy Note 10+. Suddenly about a week ago, this changed. Sometimes I will get sound for about a second then it stops while whatever I'm playing is still going (but with no sound). If I disconnect and plug in again, I will sometimes get sound for another second.The vendor stood by their warranty and refunded my purchase because currently the unit is not available. I have to wonder if it is getting some sort of redesign due to these issues. Another curiosity is that I tried the adapter on a friend's LG phone and it worked but no longer on the Note 10+. What does that mean?!My USB port is just fine by the way. If I connect Samsung USB headphones to it (worse sound quality than the Bose I wired ones I use with the adapter) it works. I just purchased the Google USB-C to 3.5mm adapter from Amazon (half the price Samsung has the nerve to charge for theirs which as many have said they should have included gratis with the phone) it works! There's some sudden change or incompatibility at least for between the phone and the adapter. If it was due to the October Samsung/Android security update, it's not clear to me what got updated that would not allow the adapter to work but still allows the Google adapter to work.Anyway, again Kudos to the vendor for doing the right thing. The Google one doesn't allow charging at the same time like the Airfish does and it only comes in white but to be honest, charging even with a fast-charge rated USB cable and and power supply is S--L--O--W. It was better than nothing but in an hour I'd get like 20% charge.

Since Apple won’t provide nor sell anything similar for their own product I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect adapter (charger+headset port) and this one comes very close, first it actually works (you’d be surprised how many of those 2-in-1 don’t work with iPad Pro 2018 even though they say they do) and the design is very minimal and non-bulky too compared too all those bulky square ones.So why only 4 stars and not 5? 2 reasons:1. Although the headset pause button works the volume up/down controls doesn’t work with this adapter (not a big deal but still)2. The recording volume for the microphone is a little low with this adapter connected, with AirPods or even the iPad built in mic the volume is much better, this however seems to be an issue with every adapter of this sort that I’ve tested.Overall, definitely a buy as there simply isn’t anything out there that can do the same for iPad Pro 2018.

I purchased this in order to reduce the wear on my native headphone jack. This DAC so far has worked flawlessly. Upon initial testing it sounds indistinguishable from the native headphone jack on my S9 phone. There aren't any pops or skips in the audio and it sounds just as good while charging as not. The volume from the native headphone jack and this device also seems to be the same at full power. I will update this review if anything changes, but for now I will highly recommend this device.Update:I have found this adapter to sound excellent and pass charge through well. However there are some issues.1. The forward function upon double clicking the center button on the remote does not work, it only pauses.2. The mic does not work for me when I use the phone. Both issues above may be the adapter or a limitation of the USB C connection, I don't know.If both of these issues were not present then it may be the ideal adapter.

The shipping and packaging were both exceptional on this order.The adapter worked as advertised providing audio and rapid charging simultaneously or separately to my phone.The case of the adapter is well made with durable glossy plastic and aluminumThe form factor is definitely something I will be keeping in my pocket rather than my laptop bag.Features I had hoped were included but were not:The audio jack is not compatible with a 3 pole connector equipped headphone/mic combo headset and my phone will not use the adapter attached headphones during a call.The power connector on the adapter is not capable of sending data.Edit:Turns out the pixel I was using to test this has a software problem that does not allow USB headsets during calls so this product gets a star back up from 3 to 4.

I have purchased many USB-C to Headphone jack adapters on Amazon [even the Apple USB-C adapter] and in my experience, the sound quality was definitely lacking. I have the Essential Phone [PH-1] and it seemed no matter what adapter I tried, the sound was crazy low and poor quality; no matter how much i fussed with the EQ settings on my music player app.I saw this product and took a chance knowing full well that I had struck out with 4 adapters already. I was delightfully surprised. The sound quality was loud and excellent. It was also amazing to have the ability to charge while listening [which worked great whether plugged to a battery pack or an AC adapter]. The price was definitely fair compared to some pricier models that don't really work as well.Breakdown:Half Full:-Fair price-Great sound quality [although this will be vary from user to users' perception of audio]-Can charge your phone/device while listening to your favorite music/vids, etc.Half empty:-I don't have anything negative to say, although I wish there were more color options other than just black. Also, I will have to see how well these fair over time in terms of durability.Conclusion>Go on, give them a try!
