Everafter (Kissed by an Angel)

Loved it
I LOVED THIS SERIES. I've had the first trilogy on my shelf for years and just got around to reading it over then summer, then I found out there was the second trilogy and I wasby dissapointed. It wasn't the same BS over and over again like a lot of series do it had crazy twists and turns and THE ENDING. Oh my don't even get me started. Not what you'd be expecting at all BUT the very last chapter of the very last book did warm my heart and left me with a smile. Beautifully written, although the spelling errors are atrocious and there are many, I still loved this series and highly recommend BOTH trilogies.

Shocking!
I love the Kissed by an Angel series! I have followed them since they came out in the 90's. When she wrote the newest ones I was so glad to have a continuation. Tristan and Ivy's love is something I long to find in real life. Maybe some day. The ending for this shocked me! I only hope there are more to follow

Huge Letdown.
A 3 star review. You ask why? Well I have been a fan of the original trilogy for a long time. These last three books have been a huge let down. I was expecting them to expand on the story, not ruin it. I was in love with Ivy and Tristan. Then I became a huge Will fan. Gregory I loved to hate for a while, now I just hate him. I feel that the books went completely off track of what the original series was. It was about love and the power of an angel. This series? Revenge! Chandler, I am sorry but I don't understand what you were trying to do with this book. It did not end happily. We never had an ending with Lacy (who is the best character in my opinion). Poor Phillip is so lost and needed someone in his life. Tristan, well lets just say this was originally a love story, not some tragic depressing ending. I might be the only one, but I wanted more. I wanted a happy ending for at least some of the characters and not just despair in the last pages. Harsh review? Maybe. But the truth of the reviewer should be given. Should you buy this book? No. Read the first trilogy and stop.

Indifferent about the ending but still love the series
I started reading Kiss By An Angel when I was in 6th or 7th grade. I'm now 22 years old and have read that trilogy maybe 6 times. It's my all time favorite book. I didn't realize there was a second trilogy to it until recently. I'm indifferent with the ending because I hate that it had to end like that but love that it did. One of the reasons why I love Elizabeth Chandler so much is the way she writes and how she comes up with the plot. I would recommend this trilogy if you love Kiss By An Angel. It's a good read.

Ivy
I've read all of the books, but I didn't think it would end like this.... I thought that if Ivy died, Tristan would to. This book is very good and I highly recommend it, but it ends very sadly. The tale of true love, that will live on forever, no matter how much the cost of love is, these two were willing to die for what they had, and sadly that resulted in the end. This is by best the far everlasting love book I have read, and there will never be one like it. Love is Everafter......

really good book
I have been reading the Kissed by an Angel books for a very long time, and I was so glad when this book finally came out that i couldn't wait till it came in. The book got delivered in about 3 days and I started reading it immediately. As always, Elizabeth Chandler did not let me down. It is a great book.

Good book, bad ending
(Spoilers)After reading the previous five books in the series, I was excited for the big finale as I had been at the end of the first trilogy (it feels more like two series than one). However, I was quite disappointed. I had expected Gregory to go on another killing spree and make everyone turn against Ivy again. Instead he started controlling DREAMS. There was no explanation about why he did it when they were asleep, but I could understand when they Ivy was awake. Then there was the ending. *sigh* it was very sudden and confusing. Ivy laid her hand on a tree. Why a tree? And prayed for her angels to help her. For some reason they decided to listen this time, and knocked the tree down on both her and Gregory. Couldn’t she have moved a little bit? Why would her angels kill her? Surely that’s illegal in heaven. The death wasn’t sad as they moved on too quickly and I wasn’t really sure what happened. Then it jumped to Beth and Will three months later, talking about her. Even that wasn’t very sad. I am a very emotional person and cry in most books but this one didn’t get me.Then they thought that Lacy had gone to heaven, which would have been a nice ending for her. Then a few seconds later, she rides past on a unicycle, which makes no sense and is so random. Was it her? Why hadn’t they seen her in so long? Where had she been? She might have even been fallen, as they said ‘a girl with purple hair’ not Lacy. After that Tristan finds the angel coin that Phillip gave to Ivy and takes it to be absolute proof that she was back. I would have been able to let go if the ending if it wasn’t for this, but this was too much. I thought that the moral of the story was some sacrifices are worth it or that God’s plan will always work out the way he intended or sometimes you have to let go of the people you love. But now we know that Ivy isn’t at peace and if Lacy is gone she will be lonely and if not, she will be annoyed as they never really liked each other that much. So there is no moral, no happy ending and no heartbreaking death. It would have been better if there was no epilogue at all.Apart from that I quite enjoyed the book, though I liked Ivy more when she was more independent and didn’t need Tristan to help her. In the first trilogy she was one of my favourite heroines of all time.Another thing that I will say that frustrated me through the entire series is each person only likes one thing. Ivy likes music, Beth likes writing, Will likes art, Tristan likes swimming. All of that is plausible, except maybe Beth. I refuse to believe that the author of this book, or any author are as over the top obsessed with writing as her. However, Gregory likes only murder, Kelsey likes only drinking, Suzanne likes only Gregory were all unbelievable. Also, most of them only had one or two personality traits, except Ivy. Especially Lacy. She was the most unrealistic character that I’ve ever met, but I didn’t mind that so much. What I minded was when she changed completely between the trilogies to be far more normal in this one.I would recommend this book to anyone who has started the second trilogy, but to everyone else, leave it at the end of the first three books. It was good, but to me endings are everything.

inconcluded, predictable and frustrating.
I absolutely loved the first book and the next to to follow, the relationship with the characters was contrived and tacky but I suppose her style of writing is that way. But this book was an utter let down and should have ended with the book before as not much supposedly happens within the middle and I felt there was no conclusion.I had to force myself to finish it and I went weeks without reading it because it was such a ghastly plot. The descriptions were nil and rushed, there was nothing artful or inspiring in her writing and it seemed like something you'd read to a ten year old.The anticipated ending was very predictable too, it was either going to end well or badly and unfortunately it made me throw the book to the side when I finally read the final sentence. The character's never developed, there were so many and often forgotten towards the ending and it honestly got too repetitive following the story line and the dialogue. If there will be another book, I don't think I'll waste my time with the series any further.

Good!
I enjoyed reading Everafter but I must say that I was not as thrilled when reading this book as I was with the first two. The first will always be my favourite but I was shocked by Everafter's ending. It left me breathless, shocked and surprised. Once I got over the ending I realised that my reaction was so rare after reading a story I decided that It was a great ending. I recommend this book to the fans of the first books and people who like anything to do with Angels and Demons, good and bad etc.
