This really is a ‘black out’ blind! The darkness it provides the room is amazing. I wish I’d bought one of these years ago and taken it on holidays- we like total darkness when sleeping and rooms always seem to have curtains/blinds that let in so much light!We tried it in our room first before our 8month olds...just in case the suction failed, but it didn’t and our room was so dark come sunrise! It’s now in our babies room for naps and bedtime and it added 40min on to her morning wake time first morning...could be a coincidence?!I did see comments about cracked windows and over heating, so I open the window between sleep times then just close it at bedtime.It’s easy to put up, good suction, thicker and stronger than I thought it’d be, darkens the room fantastically and will be easy to travel with. I want to get another 2 for our room and our 4 year olds now! Worth the investment if you like to get a good nights sleep in complete darkness.*Its routinely added 1hr onto my daughters wake up time, now 6.30 rather than 5.30am. Sleeps better for naps too. A must have for summer!

I bought these for our bedroom balcony double doors (about 1.2 x 2.1m) and they work really well. I have read that a few people had some issues with suction cups coming loose, but after a few weeks using these, I can say that one suction cup has come loose only once, so I personally am happy with the product. If the blind is too big, it's easy to reduce the width and length by using the velcro spot pads to close the width up a bit. I've used it most nights and it takes literally 60 seconds to put it up and same to take it down. It also feels quite rugged, and not at all flimsy. I just fold it up and put it to one side in the mornings, but it does also come with a handy bag to pack it in if needed. I think the people who are saying that the suction isn't good enough maybe need to just make sure the surfaces are clean, and make sure they've fully pressed the cup onto the glass before they finish installing. One criticism is that, because it is black on both sides, it absorbs a lot of heat from the sun, which can warm the room up quite a lot, even though the light is kept out. They should probably consider making this white, or a white version, which I think would mitigate that issue. Other than that, I highly recommend this product - does exactly what it should.

I bought this black out blind as i have a health condition and am SUPER sensitive to light. I recently had to travel and stay overnight somewhere and i wasnt sure what the curtains would be like. In the past with other stop overs, I had been taking a piece of black out blind material cut off an old blind and had been taping it up over the window. Then i discovered this portable blind - yay!It is great and did a decent job BUT its not perfect. I am attaching photos of how the blind looked so you can see.The place i stayed had really old style windows so i had to sucker the blind to the glass as the suckers were too big to stick to the window surround.This took 10 minutes as the suckers kept falling off.Because the blind was not pulled tight (as the suckers would only stick to the glass and not the frame) where it was slack, you could see the light coming through. Also the place had really rubbish flimsy curtains so when they were pulled shout, they didn't add an extra layer of cover to block out any light. As a result I still had to wear my eye mask as the sunrise shining through the gaps still woke me up.I also found that on the first night, I woke at sunrise as half of the blind had fallen off! On the second night I had to use some tape around the edges to ensure it didnt fall off and to help block some of the bigger gaps.Over all i recommend it as it really helped to have some blockage of light rather than none. I am super sensitive so to someone who isnt, it would probably do the trick Also it depends on the style of window that the blind is being adhered to as well as whether there are decent curtains to add an extra layer of blockage.I chose this blind over other brands as this was quite a decent size - another brand that i saw advertised wanted more money for a blind this size as it was listed as 'extra large'.

The media could not be loaded. Complete black out, great product. Easy to set up and transport if needed. Sticks to the window easily with suction, leaves no marks. Absorbs heat well and keeps rooms cool. Very durable and waterproof. Has helped my daughter sleep through during nap time if it’s daylight.

When the days started getting longer/brighter my son started waking up at all sorts of crazy times in the morning...this seemed like a cheaper option than buying new blinds at the moment because they'd need to be specially made for our window. It is quite large, not large enough for our bedroom window but it covered over half and kept out a fair bit of light buying me an extra hour or so in bed :). When we moved my son through to his own room we moved the blind with him, and it fits his window perfectly - actually it's a little big for it which is great because it blocks out all the light perfectly (bearing in mind that even his window still requires curtains that aren't a regular size!).When we first put it up a couple of the suction cups did fall down...a few times, but if you just dampen them slightly they stay put, when it was put up in my son's room we just dampened all of them as a precaution and it hasn't moved since :) so not a problem really.I'm really happy with this product, it does exactly what it promises, I'll be taking it with us whenever we stay away from home. As a parent, if your child wakes up with the sun and has more energy than an energiser bunny (which is to say more energy that you for sure!), I recommend getting this (or any black out blind actually but this can be a cheap temporary option).

We use it in our daughters bedroom and it does exactly what it promised. We take it with us when we go on holidays, because the curtains in a lot of hotels let in the sun.Fits perfectly in our luggage as well!
