Lovely book very Inspiring

The reviews were all positive but there was no mention of the materials the author used. Unfortunately I use semi precious gems not glass or plastic and, apart from organic material such as pearls, the author does not. Will put on the jewellery making shelf and it may be used in the future. To be fair if you want to use japanese seed beads, czech glass etc the projects look to be ok. Maybe if I had translated "Modern Beads" into man made then I would not be so disappointed.

The books provides and introduction into the materials you need and also core techniques. It is then split into three chapters: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Each section has ten projects. There is a brief introduction to each section outlining a history of ancient jewellery. The projects clearly show tools and materials needed and a box detailing the skill level and techniques. The written instructions are clear and are accompanied by superb charts demonstrating the method. I love the collars and coiled bracelets.

Naja, selbst für anfänger ist es öde, immer das gleiche zu machen und die Anleitungen hier sind alle in netztechnik. Muss man nicht haben, da gibts bessere bücher.
