Great LiDAR device. Limited software.
I got this for an autonomous robot. The robot uses a combination of Linux and Aurduino. The software that is (easily) available for this LiDAR is Windows.The device itself is great. It's well made and (in my opinion) a huge improvement from the Model-1 unit (which has externally exposed motors and drive belt and larger physical dimensions). I tested on a Windows machine (since that is the 'easy' software route). The unit picked up everything around without any problems and is capable of high reading rates.The problem I had was finding drivers/software for Linux and/or Arduino. If I was planning on using this on a Windows platform I would give it 5-stars.
