Great stand, multiple uses are possible, not just for music reading. We are actually using in area of low ligting, but want to be able to read a book from the stand.Product is exactly as described/ and quality is great. Received on time.

I'm using this set with my mandolin. It's highly effective. The stand is stable and adjustable. The violin holder does a good job holding my mando between lessons (insert the neck sideways then turn 90 degrees). The two lights are switched independently and each have a high/low setting. The lights work off regular batteries, so it doesn't need plugging in. It can also be run off mains, but the provided cable is short - you would probably have to tape a USB outlet to the stand. It packs down into two cases ... they look a little flimsy but I have not tested them. I rate this as very good value.

This seems flimsy at first as the top is all plastic, but after a month or two, it seems to hold up quite well. My daughter puts her violin on the holder all the time, and the stand has yet to tipped over. Our old stand which is metal used to tipped over with a gentle bump, but no issue with this one. There are two clip-like thing on the stand that keeps the book open, and also comes with a detached clip as well. Great value and good product, would recommend!

Stand is plastic, not very sturdy. Easy to put together, although one of the screw holes in the violin hook was not drilled wide enough so it took forever to get it through. It’ll work for now.
