The Sunwood Life Bokashi consists of a synergistic consortium of targeted microorganisms, minerals, plant and animal by-products that are combined using an encapsulated technology to produce a fermented, compost-like product. This cultured blend captures and binds volatile odors, and facilitates the conversion of organic materials during fermentation, producing enhanced concentration of available organic acids (such as lactic acid, acetic acid, amino acid, malic acid) and bioactive substances, vitamins, chelated minerals and antioxidants. We bag the Bokashi enzyme in a compostable paper bag, instead of the triditional plastic bag. 1 kg or 2lbs per bag and 2 bags in a box.

In a Quandary due to Questionable Quality
Disappointed. I appreciate the packaging, but my purchase seemed to be too old. I am through two cycles in my bokashi composter bucket this spring (I stop in the winter) and have been pouring generous amounts of this bran in, but it just doesn't smell right. Last year my bucket had a nice, sweet smell and everything was covered with white mold in no time, but this year has been pretty sluggish and somewhat foul. No born on date that I can see. It seems to be decomposing now that I've buried a few batches, but I'll try a different brand next time. Brought to you by the letter Q.
