Does anyone cut Metformin with this cutter? It is a hard white round pill and does not have a spit Mark ,thus very hard to split.

I recently purchased this to cut 500 mg metformin tablets in half. Because the tablet isn't scored it isn't precisely 50/50, but still cuts the tablets better than other cutters I have had.

I have to to cut pepcid ac for my cat as small as 1/8 of a pill. will this work?

It may work. I'm not familiar with size of pepcid. I have cut very small pill in 1/4. Very difficult to go smaller than that. Hope this helps.

how well does this cut small round pills? My pills used to be oval with a line and I could break, not so with the new round pills. thanks.

It works just fine because the blade is so sharp. Use a toothpick to position the small pill. We have one pill we have to cut into quarters and have no problems doing it.

Will this work with small round hard pills? Mine are scored but if I use a razor blade or sharp knife they do not cut evenly & the pieces go flying.

It sometimes depends on what it is. Some medications are softer than others and don't cut so well.. But it does help if it is scored because you should get a nice even cut; much easier (and safer) than a knife or razor blade. As far as being junk, I'm here to get a replacement I got in 2012 that still works fine. I'm noticing that the blade is starting to get a little dull after 9 years of near daily use.
