I received the bug shield in the factory box, which was well-protected. Installation was a breeze, make sure you mark which factory tabs come off so you don't pull out the wrong ones. Highly recommend to anyone with a truck! Looks great too.

The smoke Bugflector 2 looks great on my 2022 Ram 1500 5th gen. Installation is horrendous. The clips packaged with the deflector are too big and don’t work. Here is what I did: I bought the GOOACC 635Pcs Car Push Retainer Clips for under $20. I used the clip shown in the photo with this review to attach the deflector to the body in the existing holes (6 of them). In other words, I did not sandwich the rubber seal and the deflector under the clip, as clip I used is too small for that. Then, I used 3M double sided advanced auto tape to attach the rubber seal to the deflector at the clip points. It’s been on about 10 minutes, so I can’t vouch for longevity, but all seems okay. It’s a 2 person install.

Received my order in one day. It came in an oversize box, screen was enclosed in a plastic bag with the fasteners inside, but no dunnage in the box to protect it. The box was torn open but surprisingly the was no damage and since the fasteners were in the sleeve with the screen, nothing was missing. Screen fit my 2025 Ram 1500 fine but, as others have stated the fasteners provided were junk and they only provided (6) no extras. 3 of the six broke. I ended up throwing all of them away and went to Harbor Freight and had to buy an assortment kit to get the fasteners needed. $17 but I got it installed, and it fits fine. I would recommend it, but caution, be prepared to supply your own fasteners.

The part and screws that you receive will work fine if you do the following steps: 1.) Two person job 2.) When you put the center clip into the hole the outer clip and visor must be firmly pressed (I used a screwdriver to press hard down on it) on the hood. 3.) You will need to lower the hood screws that control the height of the hood. When you go to close it with the factory setting it will most likely not close (your mileage may vary). The screws have detents that allow you to have the same height on both sides. I screwed down three clicks. 4.) For Ram 1500, the old clips will not come easily but be careful to only remove 6 clips (3 on each sides). 5.) Overall very nice but please fix your instructions page (the QR code doesn't work) and they should leave a spare clip just in case something breaks.

There are no written instructions included at all. There is a QR code to be scanned that you would assume would lead you to the install instructions for the specific model you ordered. It does not. The video is for a different truck with different mounting hardware. I searched the Internet and finally found one grainy YouTube video with a similar (but NOT the same) mounting hardware. Mine came with six 2-piece push pins. My truck has a full length rubber gasket attached to the front lip of my hood. It is secured by 12 plastic push pins. In the absence of any instructions, I assume you need to remove one of the push pins and then try to insert the included push pins that came with the bugflector in order to secure it to your hood. They absolutely don't work! I'm going to have to take the shield to a local shop to see if they can install the damn thing. It looks well built, but good luck with the install!!!

Great product and great value

Sadly, after many attempts, it could not be installed with the kit enclosed. Needles to say, it did not come with instructions and the QR code enclosed led to a general website with nothing product-specific. Most importantly, despite the fancy box that came in, the manufacturer wrapped it in semi-rigid plastic with sharp edges, so no wonder it arrived with scuffs around the contact points. And speaking of scuffs, it gave my brand new truck some scuffs with that plastic kits they sent with. I've ordered a generic car clips kit and will give it a last try along with use of some kind of hood protection and may be a second set of hands. I’ll update this review afterward.

absolutely love it. We installed the chrome hood protecter, window vents and pillars.. it sets off our 2020 Ram Laramie Longhorn. The chrome is a great match.

Doesn't fit Ram warlock front end

Light strip stopped working after a few months. My question is that I'd like to know if I can get another Light strip to replace the one that quit working. Wish there was a way to contact the seller so I could get another Light strip to replace it. Other than the light stop working. It looks great when the light is working.
