Caya Single Size Diaphragm by MedIntim

I have been using the Caya since it wasn't available in the USA. A long time ago, Depo was hurting me and there seemed to be so many options that would all eventually lead to issues. Even worse, here in the US they make you jump through hoops to get a diaphragm. My husband and I joked when we were 18 that I could have given a fake name and gotten Depo-- I didnt even show ID! But a diaphragm needs to be fitted and paid for extra for some reason. Anyways, I bought one from Canada and used it for many years, never an issue, even after stopping to have the twins and starting after. We decided it is time to replace and to my shock I see it here on Amazon! If you can indeed get it from your Dr for free, I say do it! My Dr was going to make me pay for a diaphragm but all other services were free. I do not regret the diaphragm, the ONLY downsides is it can be a bit messy as is all intercourse that ends with internal ejaculation, and you need to be careful not to use your internal muscles to push down when peeing after, if that makes sense, so you don't move the diaphragm (only an issue for those who do a lot of kegels probably). Contragel (the gel used with this) is also a plus, as it is much healthier than spermicide and doesnt burn or cause irritation! I have used spermicide with it in the past and this also works, both the tabs and gel, but I prefer Contragel. Edit to add that it did take a month, but my new one is here. It came in a sealed Caya box just like last time, so I do recommend this seller, just be patient because they do not include a tracking number.

It is impossible to get a "prescription" for a diaphragm in the U.S. any more and I had to order one from the U.K. a few years back when I needed one. Now, having used the Intimina Ziggy menstrual cup which has no way of hooking your finger into it and is impossible to remove, I have found this product makes a perfect menstrual cup that is comfortable, great for mess-free intercourse, and easy to remove. Cannot recommend enough.

This is a female writing a review on this diaphragm. This is my first time trying one, first of all, I use a spermicidal lube on the inside and an applicator of thick spermicide on the outside (you can find over the counter). Once I feel like the back rim is past my cervix, I feel like I could trust it blocking spermies, and spermicide is needed for it to be the most effective. Always check to feel if the rim is behind your cervix or it would be useless. The cervix is a knob like shape and feels like the tip of a nose, like a dimple in the middle. Anyways, I only used it once, the condom fell off because it got loose on him when switching positions. Always change out your condom if it comes out hella saggy, it will not stay on. But I love this diaphragm, I feel like it will help me regain my libido with reassurance when I'm off my hormonal birth control. With perfect use every time, I feel like this is a product that is good to hold on. It states it lasts for two years, the barrier is kind of real thin, but the rim is sturdy and springy with a pull out divot to hook your finger in for removal. If you have good experiences with menstrual cups, I definitely recommend this diaphragm as a contraceptive. If no experience, learn the feeling of the inside of your canal, it's probably deeper than you think. Hope this helps those who are thinking about the plunge of switching or adding more birth control/barrier protection.

Seems like I’m not the first person to get this package. Nervous to open and see since it says the hygiene seal deems it un-returnable, however my package has clearly been opened before.

This product is too big for me personally. The way you know a diaphragm is too big is if it 1) hurts, 2) interferes with urination while wearing it, and 3) pushes against your urethra. After wearing this, I was in a lot of pain that took 24 hours to subside. (not the product's fault, necessarily, just a size problem.) I love the idea of this product, and I wanted it to work for me. Maybe they will come out with some other sizes. However, this was too large for me and caused pain. Caya - PLEASE make some alternative sizes! My gyn does not even do diaphragms, so this was my only option! There is NOWHERE to get a diaphragm these days, so seriously, the concept for this product is incredible, and it's very thin and flexible, hence the three stars. I think if this were smaller, it would be my favorite thing on earth. SO if you're considering buying... keep in mind the symptoms of a diaphragm not fitting, and I guess be prepared to lost about 95$, since this obviously can't be returned. I actually don't regret giving it a shot, since I know how great the product concept it. If they made other sizes in the future, I am the first customer in line.

Very impressed! I like this waaaaaaay better than I thought I would, and way better than any other birth control I’ve tried (pill - made me crazy; copper IUD - made me bleed too often and too much; condoms - hate the way they feel; fertility tracking- too worried I’d get it wrong; interruptus - that’s no fun for anyone). This is easy to use and I can’t feel it once it’s in. I can put it in early evening and take it out the next morning, no matter what happens. I use it with Contra gel. Highly recommend!!!

After over 10 years of hormonal birth control I decided to look around and inform my self in NFP. I ran into the Caya and its perfect. Ny husband doesn’t feel it neither do I . The best part it NO HORMONES. I bought over the counter spermicide to use with it . I have no reaction with it I know some people say its harsh and burns your vagina but not me & im pretty sensitive.

This item came opened which is very concerning given its purpose. I would highly recommend AGAINST ordering this product. Go through your pharmacy instead, it's worth the peace of mind.
