Seed Potato, Red Lasoda, (5 Lbs.), Certified Minnesota Grown Red Lasoda

I bought these and kennebec. They came in the same box, unlabeled, but since they were different colors, it was easy to tell which was which. They looked a little rough when they came, but I set them aside to sprout before planting, and they have done that with great enthusiasm. It is great to see seed potatoes for sale that are marked for fall planting. It is really hard to find potatoes to plant in the fall. All the local stores don't carry them, and a lot of online stores give the impression of having them but really don't. Thanks for providing them!

I live in North Carolina, and, like many areas of the South, it can get very hot during the Summer months. After trying to grow several varieties of red potato seed, Red Lasoda is the hands down best red potato for areas that are prone to 90+ degree temperatures. Like all potato and tuber crops, Red Lasoda certainly enjoys plenty of water, so provided you are in the habit of watering your potato bed on hot days when no rain is forecast, this particular red potato is the best choice for heavy production of delicious, white-fleshed potatoes. I average about two pounds per seed with a 12 week growing cycle.

They said they were seed potatoes but I didn't see any buds on the spuds but I left them in the bag for a couple weeks and they did sprout some so I planted them I will hold off on any further review until I see if they grow properly or not.

The product arrived late and when I opened the plastic bag there was a distinct odor of fermentation. The potatoes were of mixed quality but mostly shrivelled with some mouldy. First time ordering seed potatoes online and this will be the last time I order from this seller. While some had sprouted I doubt very much that they will be we vigorous enough to give me a good crop. After having to wait so long for them I am clearly disappointed that the quality didn't match to photos online. Would not recommend anyone else ordering the same product.

So far so good. It's a little early to plant yet but they arrived in good shape.

When I opened the package, the potatoes were moldy. I could tell by the look and dirt-like smell. It happens.
