Electronics Essentials With Audio Emphasis

I highly recommend this book for any beginner who is looking to design/build/analyze audio circuits. It does a great job of starting with the important basics and stepping through to the more complex subjects. It's written in an easy-to-read manner that is not at all dry. It is intended to be a textbook for a college course, but I found it useful just as a guide for learning at my own pace outside of a classroom setting.

Decent info. I was hoping for more project schematics.

I am not sure what course this was designed for, but it is a textbook. There are references to class projects and exercises at the end of every section. Like many technical courses the author seems to me at least to assume that certain concepts that are obvious to those with both the relevant aptitude and background should also be obvious to layman. This is not a bad thing but be aware of it. There are basic electronics courses available online for free either via Youtube or various educational sources. Check these out and the book may be an excellent compliment to them. Overall it is well laid out and structured but if like me you don't have much of a background in electronics prepare to be challenged - but then it should be challenging.
