This says it was made and shipped from Pakistan. I think the company in Dallas that was mentioned in the description are the distributors, especially since these arrived so quickly (I live in Texas).These are indeed a fossiliferous limestone, which have been polished and I think coated in a resin. This is a good thing, it will keep the rock in good condition and makes it easy to clean.I mostly see some bivalves and gastropods in this limestone, which is about what I expected from the stock photo.The edges are nicley bezeled and are not sharp, the bottom of the rock have four simple adhered foam pads to prevent scratched what they are placed on. The rock has been cut impeccably straight and the angled sides look consistent.No complaints here. I saw two listings with identical stock photos. I took a risk and went with the far cheaper listing and it looks like it worked out. :)

I bought these bookends as a gift for my brother, who was a geology major in college waaaay back in the last century and who has a large and diverse collection of books throughout his house. He loves them and placed them in the prominent bookcase in his living room. Although I've not been to his house since Christmas (so it's possible that he's lying about their current deployment), I'm thinking that they were a great purchase!

Simply beautiful bookends. I bought these as a holiday gift and they were well received. The brown color marble was truly lovely.

I use it for Tul binders and they are heavy enough to hold them and they look great.
