Beautiful cine lens for production.
Amazon had this lens for $149 used and I took a chance buying it. I think Amazon sent me a Brand new one because everything looks, smells and performs superb. Beautiful picture quality for video, very bright, cine picture 100%. Worth it at full price let alone at $149. I'm happy!

Great lens but I the one I received had some dust inside the glass.
This is my first time using a cine lens and I was amazed at the image quality. However this lens I received arrived with dust particles on and inside the glass. I can't notice any of it in camera during test shoots but it is visible to the eye when looking at the lens itself.

Great Lens (Takes Some Practice)
I bought this lens based on the facts that it was a decent price, is a Cine lens, and it works with my LUMIX GH4.When I first put the lens on, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I knew how to operate the aperture and focus dials, but not much else, and as an aspiring filmmaker, I only had plans to use this for video, not photos. So when I initially started taking test photos, I found that the pictures were ultimately grainy and dark, but then I figured out how to dial in settings on the camera (which, I suppose, is unrelated to this review of the lens). After a week of getting used to the manual controls and ISO settings and whatnot, I found this lens to be quite pleasing. It takes great photos as seen with my review, it has a great, sturdy build quality, and video quality is sharp at 4K on my GH4.My only gripe with this lens (which is again, my fault for not being knowledgeable on lenses) is that to have anything in focus, you need to stand at least 3 feet away from the subject, which isn't possible for a lot of shots, so things tend to look very tight and constrained unless you have a lot of room to work with.Ultimately, it's a great lens for the price/quality ratio. I am pleased.

LOVE this Lens
I use this lens only for still photography, on a full frame camera (Canon 6D). It shows a list price of $299, but I was able to get it on sale for $195. I don't have thousands to throw at a hobby, so I am always on the lookout for value, and this has become my favorite lens, by far.Keep in mind that it is fully manual - no autofocus - so if you're not comfortable shooting manually and focusing manually, this isn't a good investment for you. But as you can see, if you do shoot manually, you can get some pretty good results, including at fast-paced sports events. I should mention I've shot sports on and off for a few years now, and almost always shoot on manual (hey, when you buy budget lenses, the autofocus also tends to be a little slow, so I make up for that by making all adjustments myself). This lens is also incredible in low light!Check reviews on YouTube and write-ups on other sites for more, but many mention f/2.8 is a sweet spot for clarity and bokeh.

Surprisingly Good
If you're on a budget or just getting into cinematography, Rokinon entry level (not xeen) cine lenses are a great option. My only issue is that I'm using the same exact 6dii bodies and identical 85mm lenses with the same settings and one lens seems to have a warmer color temperature. I verified this by switching the bodies and tried them on my personal 5Div with the same issue. HOWEVER, if you're only buying one then this is a simple color temp adjustment in post. It's just an extra step for me to color grade the two lenses to match when shooting an interview with multiple cameras. Otherwise I really can't speak highly enough of the lens on its own, very sharp and overall color is excellent.

Amazon warehouse great deal!
Even though it came from Amazon Warehouse and was supposedly used , it looked brand new. Great deal for my Sony fx3.

Beautiful Lens
This lens produces beautiful moving images and lets in a LOT of light. It is not for everyone though since it's a manual focus so depending on what you're shooting, it may or may not work for you. I shoot fast moving subjects so it was tough to use this lens.

Puts you very very close to the subject
If like me, you are not that familiar with what DS 85mm T1.5 AS IF UMC actually means, you might be disappointed, the lens puts you so close to the subject that for a large view you have to get so far from you subject that its almost impossible to do. However i have to give props where props is due. Shooting in natural light with this thing is amazing. The amount of light this lens lets in makes it impossible to have "to much darkness" to use it. You wont have to adjust iso and/or shutter speed at all with this lens. You just open the iris or close it until you get the picture you need and it will always suffice. So its a great lens but only if you have the space you need to get the frame you need. The picture quality is also superb.

Budget cinema lens - full stop
I have a set of Rokinon lenses for the set. 20mm, 35mm, and this 85mm. Every lenses have the same filter diameter: 77mm - except this 85mm.Its an easy fix with a step-up ring but its an unnecessary hassle to standardize the gear.I wont be upgrading this lens pretty soon. Image quality and the predictability of the focus throw is decent. It will be hard to find faults and opt for an upgrade with these lenses.

nice lens, poor quality control.
I love Rokinon lenses but the copy I received has some faint scratches (like someone cleaned it with a kimwipe) on the inside of the back element. None of my other Rokinon's show this and are clean. Trying to get a replacement was a giant pain in the *** and would have cost me money to send back, so I'm just using it. Not sure if its affecting the image quality but still sucks to get a new lens and its not in mint condition.
