It's definitely dusty but I love oxbow products for my rabbit or roach chow for the reptile feeders . Great reliable brand. Should not be fed often to rabbits over 6 months . Which to Timothy hay.

My buns loves this hay. Although it is said that adult rabbits should not eat alfalfa, my buns was going through a rough time not eating. This hay encouraged his appetite and got him back on track. Mixed small amounts into his Timothy hay for a short time so he wouldn't get hooked. Oxbow is always consistent, you can feel confident that you won't be getting a bad batch.

i definitely recommend this over full cheeks hay. full cheeks hay is more leafy making it so dusty. my bunny sneezes when eating full cheeks hay because some of the tiny bits would get in her nose frequently but after switching her to oxbow, her sneezing lessened by A LOT. even my sneezing lessened with this hay since it's way less dusty. oxbow hay is crunchier which is also great for her teeth.

Alfalfa hay is EXPENSIVE at my local pet store. Amazon to the rescue?The package looked great. I didn't notice any excessive shelf wear or other red flags. Oxbox seems to be a good quality brand and my rabbit eats it without complaining. Of course my rabbit also eats newspaper...When I opened the package everything smelled right. The hay felt a little dry in comparison to the locally bought bag. There was another issue. There was a lot of crushed hay in the bag. "What do you mean crushed? Isn't it just dry grass?" Yes, but there were a lot of grass "crumbs" at the bottom of the bag. I can't feed that green power to my rabbit.Overall I still got a better value than buying locally, but the product itself was a little worse for wear. I have to think it because of the individual shipping process. It was a little dry so the rabbit didn't go after it as aggressively as the previous batch. I got this alfalfa hay for what I thought was a pregnant chinchilla, but ended up finding out that she was just fat! This is a great high-quality hay that my chinchillas love, but I will be switching them out to Timothy hay because that is better nutritionally for them . The alfalfa hay does smell very good. There was no mold present and it was very dry. Just like it should be. It was shipped in its own box and labeled properly and I think is great value for the money. It was a nice green color and you got a lot of hay for the price.
