I'm torn/annoyed
I have literally purchased the entire series; however, having said that, I felt that these books could definitely have been condensed into a few books and while I like that the author does a recap of the last book in the next book, it's annoying because that cuts into the pages you actually pay for. The subject matter is a bit difficult (rape, torture and trafficking of children and people. Oh and did I forget murdering of children) Yikes!! The author tries to make it a bit of a who done it but as I read the story and then each an every time a new clue or some new information appears, it's the same crap. "I know I should tell but not yet". Ugh! The women were constantly doing it. In fact they all kept doing it. Ugh. I don't know how many times I rolled my eyes at their investigative prowess. But I guess it needs to drag on to justify putting it in another book. Also the sex scenes by the 7th. book was old hat. Same thing over and over. Each time they just let people slip through their fingers or would let themselves be falsely accused and the perpetrator would never receive a punishment. Again, I got a headache from rolling my eyes so much.

Ryan and Ruby are hot together and the mystery continues.....
I can't get enough of this series! It just keeps getting better and better! And the mystery is more intriguing and complex as the story continues! This story continues with the youngest Steel brother, Ryan. Ryan is the easygoing one in the family. He's a winemaker and loves doing it!Ruby Lee is a detective who really has a personal interest in the mystery that the Steel brothers are trying to solve.....who the 3rd person that was involved in the kidnapping of Talon when he was a kid. They all think they know who it is but is having a very hard time trying to find out.Ryan and Ruby get to know each other a lot better and personally when they spend time together on destination wedding for Ryan's brothers, Jonah and Melaine, and Talon and Jade! They each have their personal issues and didn't want to look for anything serious but life never works out the way you plan.Add in the fact that the mystery that the Steels are trying to solve gets more and more complicated as Ryan finds out some shocking information that his brothers and sister had been potentially withholding from him. The ending will surprise/shock you and I can't wait for the next book to find out more of what's going on!The Steel Brothers saga is so addicting and surprising that it makes you keep wanting more and more of the story. It also keeps you guessing with all the twists and turns of the mystery while each brother finally finds the love of their life! You have to read this series!

Ruby has absolutely no clue what to do with someone like Ryan. She has pretty much sworn off men ...
I need to use my words now but HOLY MOLY!! Just when you think that Helen Hardt couldn't possibly make the Steel Brothers Saga more intriguing than it already was, you get Shattered, literally. This 7th book of the Saga focuses on Ryan Steel, the youngest brother. He has been shielded for the most part from everything that has been going on with Talon and Jonah because (1) it was high wine making season and (2) his big brothers didn't want him to have to endure what they had to deal with.Ruby has absolutely no clue what to do with someone like Ryan. She has pretty much sworn off men her whole life, hiding herself in plain view. Her father is a monster and she fears what may happen next. When the two are thrust together for a wedding in Jamaica, Ryan sees something that intrigues him. Does Ruby have it in her to allow Ryan into her life? But Ryan has his own demons and these will soon come a head once a major secret of his past is revealed. Will Ruby, who has so many demons of her own to deal with, be able to help Ryan come to terms with the secrets and between the two of them finally put an end to all the madness that is still pouring forth into all of the Steel's lives.I had a lump in my throat during most of this book just waiting for the shoe to drop because let's face it...that is what Helen Hardt is really GREAT at doing with this series. Each story builds on all the others, adding dimension, intrigue and a hell of a lot of suspense. This story ends with a humdinger of a cliff hanger and I am completely twisted up (see what I did there LOL) inside knowing I have to wait awhile to get the "rest of the story".

Good story of Ryan and Ruby, but hard to connect with without previous books in the series.
Again, this one is hard to review. As many have said, the book ends on a cliffhanger. I have never been a fan of that. A series of books can be good with a HFN ending while continuing on with a storyline in a series. Unfortunately a book becomes forgettable when too much time happens between books with nothing resolved. That being said, "Shattered" was a good book and I enjoyed Ryan and Ruby's story, but I am not sure if I will remember what has taken place by the time of the next book. Please authors, take care of your readers and we will take care of you. I would like to thank NetGalley and Waterhouse Press for gifting me with "Shattered". I also own a copy of it. My opinion is my own. This is mine. 3 Stars!

I'm in love with this series!!
The Steel Brothers are a must read series, with hot steamy romances (some expected) and a plot with hair pin turns. Absolutely dying for book 8 which I hope goes on forever and explains every last question. Way to go Helen

Again another gripping storyline but short changed again half a book for the price of a full novel! Very unfair this series could have been condensed into 2 or 3 books a VERY expensive read! Can't fault the story you can't turn the pages quick enough but I hate to be ripped off & again downloaded to my kindle & only half a book? Come on Helen Hardt it's not on! Why not finish the books first then sell them?

Love This saga but disappointed to only have half a book
I'm loving The Steel Brothers saga. But really dissatisfied that again I have bought the next book and only half is the steel brothers, she then goes on to a different book, i feel ripped off at 4.99 a book I expect the whole book on one saga not half way through she writes about a totally different book, for that price on kindle its a rip off, when it's going to cost over 50 pounds to read the whole saga, who writes only half a book, i don't understand it, if i wanted to read a different saga of hers i would have bought that one, this could easily have been several books less if a whole book was the same all the way through, If I had realised this I wouldn't of started reading this, I almost feel like I should be refunded from the author, when I start to read a saga im one of these people who has to see it through to the end, i love reading the steel brothers, just very disappointed on some books you only get half a book before she starts writing about her sagas, such a shame to do that to your readers, you may have lost reader after i finish this saga.

Gripping
This is not reading matter that I would normally choose but book 1 on a kindle deal got me hooked, I just wanted to find out what happened to the Steel family so kept buying the next book in the series. People are criticising the Authors style and saying it’s only half a book but personally I liked her style and seeing the same incidence from different characters perspective!

I have read all seven books on this series and I am hooked. The story is captivating the Steele family are strong and always have each other's backs even though there doesn't seem to be an end to the history of the family. One brother had a traumatic childhood and the other two had guilt they could not get passed. This story is amazing and has lots of twists and turns. Thank heavens for the strong women that come into their lives. Although Marj is younger she is just as determined to find out the truth. THIS IS A MUST READ. Five stars just doesn't seem enough. Keep them coming we need a good ending. Lock all the big bad guys/woman away for good

Great book, interesting and has kept me on the edge of my seat a little disappointed that there are so many books in this series and feel like some of them could have been doubled up, as once you start the series you have to carry on and buying 9 books is expensive, am looking forward to the last two.
