Great For Young Kids
Played name-the color with the two year olds I work with, and can show them major continents like America. They also like to play catch with it, and the softness of the ball makes it safe.

Cool gift!
I didn’t think my 11 month old was gonna care too much for a plush that rattles considering her age and how more advanced her toys have become , I was thankfully very mistaken, she loves her hug a planet , her favorite thing to do is play catch , I had the full size one as a kid I always wanted my kids to have one I’m so glad she loves hers!

Rattle disappointing
I got two of these as gifts for my baby cousins. They are pretty cute, good size. The basics are labeled (the continents and oceans pretty much). I was hoping they would be a little plushier/softer; they're kind of stiff cotton. I was debating between the one with the rattle and the one without, and you might as well not bother with the rattle. It isn't a nice sound; it sounds clunky and like something is improperly lodged in there, rather than a nice even rattle sound. That said, I like the idea of starting my baby cousins on worldly knowledge early, so all in all I still like them and hope they will get some good play time!

fun for baby's first birthday
we used this for baby's first "walk around the sun" (Montessori style) on her first birthday. Was perfectly appropriate for her age!

Disappointing
I thought this rattle version of the classic Hugg-a-Planet would be cute for my granddaughter who will be three months old on Christmas Day. However the rattle is hard to hear and not very stimulating for a baby. I’m returning it and will order the full size Hugg-a-Planet. I got one for both of my children for their first Christmases. My granddaughter will not play with hers for a while, but the full-size one, with all the countries labeled, is a great snapshot in time. My adult children still have theirs and enjoy them as throw pillows/nostalic conversation pieces. I recommend the full size version but not the “baby” version.

Disappointed
Sorry but this was not worth the money. It’s too small for the price and not all countries are geographically labeled. I am return.
