You can use it with senior dogs, but may want to speak to your vet to see if it is okay for them to be in.

Depends - my dog is about 20 pounds, so if yours is that or less, then probably.

Q: My dog measured 16.5-17" from base of his tail to collar, and 18" around his chest so I went with the medium. It seems maybe too long, how can I tell?

The medium is usually for dogs 17-20 inches in length. You could add a booster block so it takes him up in height.
