096 Battery Just fits ok
096 (standard) profile 12v car / leisure battery just fits (quite snug lengthways), but still a bit of a useful gap widthways and plenty of room for cables and connections etc. inside the lid. I put two layers of 1/4" rubber sheet under the battery inside the box just to make sure the battery is not 'wedged-in' too much at the base. I carefully drilled 4 clean holes in the base and have bolted it in place with oversize washers - the plastic is good and strong and was not weakened at all. Keeps it very securely in place and 'out-of-sight'. Stops dust and debris from getting near the terminals, or too much (or any) moisture getting at the terminals and corroding them (or worse, shorting them) . In a worst case scenario of a major battery failure with sparks (more likely from an overheated or torn cable or cracked connector failure) - it will help contain any spark or excess heat inside the box and away from the untidy (and somewhat flammable) oily rags I keep meaning to throw away.

Excellent quality
Added this to a trailer to provide power to the winch.Strong and sturdy box.I added a volt meter and charging lead by drilling a couple of holes. Easy drill plastic.

This battery box cost me $12 and it arrived over night. The price alone is great! I would easily pay double with no hesitation for this box. The lid works fantastic, and i didnt have to play around with it like some of the other reviewers. Awesome product! I am using it for a camping solar system. The handles on the side make it easily portable. Thanks!

安物は所詮壊れますね、始からコレだったな
車から外したバッテリーをポータブル電源として安物のブラスチックケースにいれ、石川県の友人宅に手伝いに行ってました。電源が無いのでライトの電源代わりに使っていましたが、しかし同じボランティア仲間さんが悪いわけではないのですが、高い方が荒くケースが割れてしまい、最後にはガムテープだらけになり、割れた隙間から水が入る始末、最初からこれを買って置けばと悔いが残ります。
