Q: I have this charger which does the job. I would like instructions as I tried to charge , lights were red, then flashed to green, back to red.

When my dead batteries are inserted in the charger the lights are green. When charged, the light turns red. And I know this is true because I tested them.

Q: how can I get instructions for this charger?

My lights are the opposite. Green while charging and red when done and charged

Q: What amperage should the usb converter be? i have a 1.0a and a 2.1a both at 5 volts.

I'd return this battery charger if you can. Horrible reviews and it does not work. That's probably why it's a green light when it's having dead batteries. There are better chargers out there than this one
