You can't beat the cost. Running on my Deore XT 1x11 the upper chain guide was prone to light rubbing and noise. Installation and adjustability were very good and construction seems pretty robust. The upper and lower didn't seem to cause that much extra drag on the system. I removed upper and lower guides and kept the guard, but if you don't mind the rubbing noise or do mostly downhill, it might be perfect. Probably a great way to see if you like using chain guides before dropping a lot more money on something fancy.

Preparing for Moab Bike trip and this gives me confident. I wish I had it on my previous trip and this time I am ready for the rock garden. It is well built and stuff enough just for my rig. I don’t need the bottom roller and it works out perfectly which reduced the weight, which is minimal considering the protection it gives, plus it guards the bottom brake cable and shifting cable.

Had to replace after two months with the MRP version. The plastic on the bashguard did not last long with frequent rock strikes. Probably fine for someone who doesn't plan on actually using it to slide over obstacles. Wasn't nearly robust enough for me and replacement parts don't seem to exist for it.

Too chain guide ended up not fitting. Easy enough to take off. The chain guard is great.
