Great mixed media book!
Good quality and bends nice when you get to the last pages. It’s not copic marker proof to where it doesn’t bleed through the page but it won’t go on to the next page. I was able to do watercolor pretty good too!

Excellent Quality Sketchbook!
I just finished a Sketchbook class, and this Sketchbook worked wonderfully through wet on dry techniques, pen and ink, markers and Wet on Wet Watercolor. The pages are thick, quality paper and the book was fairly stiff, which I wanted. When I opened the pages pressed down, they stayed nicely put, the outside edges needed a clip, but when clipped, stayed open nicely, no problem at all. Great quality, and easy to work with.

My favorite sketchbook (good if you're heavy handed)
The media could not be loaded. I love this book (mixed media). It's great, especially for my fellow heavy handed folks. Graphite doesn't smear from page to page, paper doesn't ingrave marks from pressure. Its softbound so it has grip and doesn't slide around my workspace like hardbound covers. It does gain small indents and creases over time but its not significat or damaging. It holds up very well and does not fall apart like other sketchbooks I've owned. The paper is off-white with a tiny bit of texture. It is GREAT and holds up very well to various mediums. I've used mod podge, graphite, charcoal, watercolor, ink, duct tape, alcohol markers, and other mediums in this sketchbook and the paper provided a great and durable surface for all of them to work they way they should. Alcohol markers do bleed but do not leave marks on the other pages. The paper also does not tear up as easy as others and can handle lots of erasing and sketching.

This is very nice paper and quality.
This is very nice paper and quality. I like the color and the weight. I’ve only used it so far to swatch gouache paint. I will use it with dry and wet media, and post images later on. I wish the price was a bit cheaper. But the sketchbook is big so I can split pages in smaller sketching sessions. Instead of focusing on filling a large page. I wish they had this same one in something smaller like a 6x6, 5x5 inches or 3x5inches. But all in all is very good.

Soft cover 100% cotton journal
Mixed media type journal. I like it. Hot press paper that behaves well with watercolor. Doesn't warp too badly. I like the sizing. It gives you a minute to move the color around. I hate cellulose paper in other journals that immediately soak up the watercolor.... never to be moved again.

The paper quality is superior.
In regards to how this paper accepts and presents liquid media this paper is superior. This particular cold press watercolor paper is the paper that has made me finally appreciate cold press paper. The final product looks superior to my other papers of similar weight and texture.

My go to sketchbook
I've been using this particular brand and line of sketchbooks for about a year now and I have to say that it is my favorite. I love the fact that the paper is not too thick but it's still thick enough to handle watercolor. I also love the fact that it is 100% cotton so watercolor performs really nicely in this sketchbook. This is definitely a well-rounded truly mixed-media sketchbook. I primarily use col-erase pencils, ink, and watercolor in this sketchbook and they all behave nicely in this book. I have used a bit of gouache in it as well and I did pretty nicely in it. As far as watercolor goes it can handle a few layers before it get to a point where it can't anymore. It will lay pretty flat. The texture of the paper is pretty smooth but not too smooth I believe they say its a vellum finish and I would agree. The cover is not the sturdiest and marks will show up easily but I tend to put stickers and doodles all over my covers and honestly I prefer the soft cover to the hardcovers anyway, but I figured I'd mention the cover just in case someone doesn't want a cover that gets marked up easily. The pictures I provided use both ink and watercolor, just watercolor and sketches using the col-erase pencils. I hope this was helpful.
