Very loud. Verbal notifications tell you when power comes on, is going off or when the battery needs charging. OK for outdoor use or in a noisy environment but I bought them to wear in bed and it was just too loud. I just about got the music app to reduce the volume enough, but this just revealed a background hiss that seemed to pulse with the music and speech and was very distracting and disturbing to sleep as the app faded the music down.The buds are comfortable enough but slightly too domed for my ears which made them fall out too easily, especially the right side with the large control module weighing it down.Nice packaging and generally OK earphones but not suitable for quiet night-time listening. I resolved this with a TekHome bluetooth receiver and my trusty Panasonic wired earphones in stead.
