Would recommend to anyone who needs a basic meter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alright for the noob on a budget *by D***! on January 21, 2016* Let me preface by saying that I have never used nor owned a multimeter before. I am experimenting and learning. It arrived cleanly in the box. The unit itself already had the battery installed and then was covered in an orange protective shockproof case. I removed the unit from the case to feel how it was constructed. I feel like it is a few good drops away from breaking so try not to throw it around. The case feels intact and not easily separated by hand. The orange case is nice and has a kickstand to prop the device up which works well. The unit starts right up and has a nice backlight, which I wished would stay on until deactivated. The probes feel really cheap at the connection point to the unit. I feel that I can damage them really easy. I tested the unit using known voltage of various new batteries. It read accurately for all of them. I cannot attest to how it works in other situations. Maybe I can write a more indepth review once I get some more experience with it. So far: It's worth what I paid for it. At this time I would recommend it. I give it 4 stars for something I expect in this price range.
