Versa-Pod Model 50 Sniper Pod ----------------------------- The Sniper Pod - the name says it all. It was developed particularly to satisfy the needs of professionals, who find it a necessity to be as close to the ground as possible. The Model 50 is the lightest of the 50 Series but just like all Versa-Pods still has the same rugged design and ease of use. Our patented tool-less friction controls allow the bipod to be precisely positioned and locked in place. The knobs can also be adjusted to allow slight movement for following moving targets. The legs have rubber feet that extend from 5 inches to 7 inches. Includes (1) One Universal Bipod Rest ing Adapter (150-200) with the axial rotation "Cant" feature. While it may cost more to use better materials, the end result is a solid product built to pass down for generations to come Our competitors with Sheet metal construction, will allow the bipods to flex and possibly bend with heavier recoiling weapons. Versa-Pod bipod legs are machined from solid billets (aluminum or steel depending on model) and include positive locking notches eliminating movement. With other manufactures, the legs have radial grooves which are lathe turned -simple and cheap. The groove all the way around weakens the entire bipod leg. Our locking notches are individually machined ONLY where the latch locks the leg – more expensive, but much stronger. Solid milled materials eliminate bipod flex, allowing for more consistent precision, and a stable platform to shoot from.
