My last eq was the Pyle PLE 720 P which is a 7-band parametric eq with subwoofer control. I was happy with the sound quality and would recommend this eq to some one who really likes to fine tune their music, or someone who listens to a lot of different genres. The only problem I had was a faulty subwoofer band. It would intermittently go to full output regardless of setting and it did this from the time I first installed it. That is the reason I tried the Db Drive SPEQP. Out of the box it is obviously a higher quality unit and it even has retractrable knobs(not listed). The sound quality is top of the line and I can really notice the difference in the mid bass where I feel a lot of systems are lacking. I have 27 speakers in my single cab GMC truck; 20 tweeters, 4 6 1/2's in the doors, 2 5 1/4for the rear fill and a single 15 in a custom acoustic suspension enclosure. This is the minimum I need to accurately reproduce the music I listen to which ranges from classical to Slayer, but mostly house and George Acosta. I got a great deal, but I would still buy this EQ again at full price because even with the newer head units with high rca output and digital DSP's, there is is no substitute for a finely tuned analog pre-amp in a complete mobile audio system. It is adjustable. Its is suppose to be more expensive than Clarion EQ.I got mine used for half the price.It has a High quality feel..I like that the button can be pushed to hide.The led is too bright for me. I disassembled it and painted the Clear holes with black paint(3 light coats).
