I've tried other shelf liners in the past but they were cheap and flimsy. These liners are sturdy and much thicker than ones I've purchased in the past. One side is smooth, the other is textured to help keep items/plant trays from sliding around. The fit is right on the money, I purchased these for 18X36 shelves and they fit great, with a small (less than a 1/4") border of each shelf not being covered. They're easy to clean, a few wipes from a damp sponge and they're done. They shipped in a large, flat box so they were nice and flat upon arrival. Just opened the box, took them out of the plastic and set them on each shelf, can't get any easier than that.
