Easy to follow.
They make it very easy to follow the diet and I had knee replacement surgery so I have to adjust some moves, but not to bad. They want you to just move.

Great Book on Healthy Eating and Exercise
I received this book yesterday and have read through most portions. It is very motivating, addressing not only the diet and exercise portions of a diet, but psychological reasons we hold back from taking care of ourselves. Boot Camp focuses on the total body - mind, body and spirit. Meal plans are provided everyday for eight weeks along with an exercise plan that does not require a gym membership or special equipment. Basically, a no excuses plan. The meal plans are quick and easy to make and look delicious. I believe that even my picky eater husband will like most of these menus. Unlike other books, the meal plans are not just repeats over and over again. It is not necessary to count every calorie, since the meals have the calories provided and are within your allotted calories for meals.There is flexiblity built into the program. Suggestions for snacks are built in, with 200 - 300 calories for your choosing each day. The book recommends you keep a food journal, such as fitness pal or Spark People. Additionally, goals are set weekly.All in all, I think this is a plan I can stick with. I highly recommend the book.

Not for first timer dieters
The reviews for this book described helpful information on nutrition and I wanted to learn. Disappointingly, this book only has a few pages on nutrition. It does have helpful tips like "drink 8X8 water" and does explain about calories. But it's more of a "nutrition for absolute dummies". I wanted more education.The books is full of testimonies and quotes from contestants aimed to motivate you. It also prompts you to consider the psychological reasons for your weight.Pros: Nicely bound book and nicely laid out and illustrated. Very well written.Cons: The bulk of the book is exercise plans, which I can't figure out. Better to get one of their DVDs. It also has a lot of meal plans, which I didn't follow cuz I'm doing low-carb. However I did appreciate their approach to eat a snack between meals and be "flexible" and not beat yourself up over messing up once in a while.Summary: There are nuggest of good advise here. Just read the first couple chapters.

Good idea, but not for me!
I have been a fan of the Biggest Loser, but I think the book could use some help. The daily recipes are way too fancy for my taste. I am sure there are lots of other people who would disagree, but I just need to keep the food and recipes plain and simple. For example, tell me I need to have 6 oz. of lean protein, 2 vegetable servings and a fruit from a list or of my choosing. They could offer recipes in the back for those who would like to use them. I have already returned the book as I can follow the workout plan (which I love) and keep the calories at 1500 or less by eating healthy on my own.

Fantastic book , love the biggest loser book . Have my own collection now
This book has been a joy. I've learned a lot about this book , about counting calories, the exercise are pretty good and easy to follow . I haven't tried the recipe kind of out my budget but so far I've been eating pretty healthy . Been up and bout my weight kind of hard to stick to but this book is easy to follow. Wished they had pretty pictures of what I was eating lol. Not the end for me but the beginning.

Big disappointment
I really didn't get much out of this book that I didn't already know and have preferred the earlier Biggest Loser books.I really love Jen as one of the newest trainers and although her photo is on the cover,she's nowhere in the book,neither is Bob Harper.It is a very basic book and I own so many books on weight loss.Maybe for a newbie to Fitness,it would be useful but I am a fitness fanatic and a big fan of the show and it was a big disappointment.I even preordered and when I received it,it took 10 minutes to skim through and I really didn't gain any useful insight.I was really hoping to see the newest trainers Jen&Jesse in the book but neither 1 was in there

This book has changed my life and my husbands. Have been doing it for 3 weeks and the results are amazing. Feel so much better and lots more energy. What I like about it is it teaches you how to eat right and try new things. The workouts definitely get your heart pumping.

Great Buy!
I'm so excited about this book! I've been getting inspired by The Biggest Loser, so this is the perfect accompaniment. There's so much information and guidance.

Some fantastic recipes, just beware they are in American measurements ...
Some fantastic recipes, just beware they are in American measurements and there are a few weird ingredients. Once you get used to the terminology e.g. shredded for grated and buy a set of measuring cups then they are quite easy to follow. Husband and I lost 11pounds between us in the first week.
