Review: Great book. Funny and different from other Tillman books - My 2 year old daughter loves this book and the other Tumford the Terrible book. She laughs out loud at all of the silly things this naughty cat does throughout the book. It's a current favorite and very different from what Nancy usually writes (we have all of those books too), but it's a nice departure. The other books are sweet and have a christian sort of undertone to them, but these are comical and cute. I think it's nice to not have just one type of book for kids. A little variety is good for them.

My 2 year old daughter loves this book and the other Tumford the Terrible book. She laughs out loud at all of the silly things this naughty cat does throughout the book. It's a current favorite and very different from what Nancy usually writes (we have all of those books too), but it's a nice departure. The other books are sweet and have a christian sort of undertone to them, but these are comical and cute. I think it's nice to not have just one type of book for kids. A little variety is good for them.

My grandson was captivated by Tumford the cat who got into trouble doing all those things little boys do. I first borrowed the book from the library but had to buy the book so my grandson would have a copy to keep. With delightful pictures and rhyming verse it is a perfect book for reading aloud or for a beginning reader to enjoy. Nancy Tillman knows how to connect with little kids in a gentle, loving way.
