In my opinion having a pomade like this is an essential men’s hair product. I have medium length thick, coarse, wavy hair that can be very unruly and difficult to tame. This product keeps everything neat, tidy, tight, and in place. Keeps the hairstyle in place for the day and has great lasting power. My style is more of pompadour/classic quiff and this pomade helps cut back on styling time with its strong hold. The smell is very masculine and pleasant without being overpowering. It does have a higher shine which I think enhances the style I’m going for and gives it a more polished look. I found that it is possible to decrease the level of shine by simply blow drying. I’m using both this and redken brews (medium hold/natural shine), while both are great products, this pomade gets the job done better for what I’m looking for and my hair texture as opposed to the Redken.
