Review: Great monitor for work or gaming - Bought it and replaced a 4k gaming monitor as i wanted the easybox software for multi tasking and screen real estate for multi-tasking. Software great on Mac or PC and lightning cable charges Mac fine. Although xbox doesn't support the ratio does a great job - scales and looks weird but it's as smooth as butter and as good as the Predator 4k display i had. Isn't true 4k so set to 1440p. Great monitor for work and easybox software lets you split screen and auto drag to layout of almost anything. No dead pixels. The curve is massive but great when you get used to it. Highly recommend for Mac or PC. Be careful on consoles as aspect ratio stretching isn't for everyone - the picture in picture is a bit of a gimmick and doesn't show displays in full ratio - certainly not xbox and PC/Mac.

The monitor supplies too much power to the new 13 inch macs so had to use HDMI not the thunderbolt 85W connection (if you have a 13 inch don't use thunderbolt since it needs 61 W not 85W) The monitor is only recognised as 1080p by Virgin TV box but its got quad HD in the description its really only 1440p and if 1440p resolution isn't supported then it defaults to 1080p This monitor is definitely overpriced for what it is. The thunderbolt 85W connector is either under or over powered for any laptop and using the monitor as a dock didn't work well. Its not a true thunderbolt monitor its display port over thunderbolt in that you can't change volume or brightness from the mac itself it will default to max volume and then the only way to lower the volume is in the individual application/website eg YouTube This monitor was on discount desertcart did a price match so it was around 500 pounds but raised the price again soon after.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review

Vorweg: Ich kam von einem Dell Display AH-IPS mit 60Hz und 1440p Auflösung. Ich habe nach einen Nachfolge Monitor gesucht. Anforderungen waren Spieletauglichkeit; UltraWide Format (21:9) sowie HDR und 144Hz; mindestens identische Pixeldichte d.h. die 1440p mussten bleiben :) Dann kam der neue Nvidia Treiber und damit G-Sync Compatible.. Im Januar 2018 habe ich mich dann auf die Suche gemacht und habe praktisch die Eierlegende Wollmilchsau für ca. 1000 Euro bei LG gefunden. Toller Monitor aber da ich bisher maximal 350 Euro in der Vergangenheit ausgegeben hatte mussten Abstriche gemacht werden. Die eine Möglichkeit wäre gewesen auf den Panel Typ IPS zu verzichten. Die andere wäre der Verzicht auf HDR Gaming oder eben auf das 21:9 Format. Auf Gsync hätte man auch verzichten können.. In 34 Zoll gab es dann am Ende nur noch diesen Monitor hier der anders als der Vorgänger C34(x)79(x) aus dem Jahr 2016 so ziemlich alles besser macht aber dazu später mehr. Ich habe vorher diverse Tests und Erfahrungsberichte gelesen und kam zu dem Schluss es einfach mal selbst auszuprobieren. Da kam mir ein Angebot bei Amazon Warehouse Deals bei Amazon Italien gerade recht und so bestellte ich das Gerät für ca. 600 Euro. Was habe ich damit gekauft? 100 anstatt 144Hz - Haken dran, da ich von 60Hz komme ist 100Hz ein echter Fortschritt. Pixeldichte/Auflösung - Haken dran die ist quasi identisch und mit einer GTX1070Ti gut zu betreiben. Freesync mit LFC/Gsync Compatible - Funktioniert einwandfrei! Ich bin sehr zufrieden. HDR Gaming .. tja das hat er nicht. Allerdings wenn man sich im Markt umschaut bleibt nur ein einziges Modell von Samsung übrig unter 1000 Euro der den HDR600 Standard schafft und kein Fake HDR bringt jedoch dann ohne 21:9.. und mir war das Seitenformat wichtiger als das HDR Feature. Ich finde die Ultra Wide Auflösung erhöht die Immersion in Spielen stärker als HDR. HDR habe ich auf der XBox One und ist auch ganz nett jedoch sitze ich am PC wesentlich näher am Monitor. Also dachte ich mir okay, dann schauen wir halt in 2 Jahren noch einmal was es so zu kaufen gibt. Ergo: Verzicht auf HDR Gaming. Was die anderen kritischeren Bewertungen hier angeht: Für 750 Euro ist das gebotende vielleicht zu teuer und das alte Modell hatte ein paar no go Macken: Staubeinschlüsse, Spaltmaße, Auleuchtungsprobleme nicht funktionierendes Freesync .. Mein Exemplar hat dies alles nicht! Dann dachte ich noch über Farbräume und Unterschiede IPS zu VA Panel nach.. Ich habe es ausprobiert und habe es nicht bereut. Allerdings muss man zum Panel sagen vielleicht ist VA halt nicht gleich VA. Zumindest das Marketing von Samsung verspricht ja durch die spezielle Beschichtung des Panels eine erweiterte Farbraumabdeckung. Also mal gestestet und bin nicht enttäuscht worden. Der Monitor hat auch integrierte Boxen die habe ich jedoch abgeschaltet und nicht getestet. G-Sync Compatible funktioniert nur über Display Port. Da kein entsprechendes Kabel beiliegt muss noch eines dazu bestellt werden! Auch das der Monitor mit fertig montiertem Sockel im Karton steckt fand ich ganz gut. Würde den Monitor wieder kaufen zum entsprechenden Kurs. Bin sehr zufrieden.
