Of course, if you try it in your kitchen you might feel it's not quite that great but wake up famished in a tent and it's fantastic. It is not dried food, so does not require adding water. The positive is that flavour is very good, the negative is that it naturally weights more. Portion size is on the small size for me but you cannot have everything. It would weigh even more if it was bigger. For backpacking it's great and I'm keeping a nutrition bar with me to complement any breakfast if I feel I need more. I also love these packs because I don't like cleaning dishes. Here, I just boil water, put the bag in that water and eat from the bag. Then responsibly dispose of the bag with no cleaning needed. Of course, it also saves water as you don't need to do washing up.
