Unit stopped working. Would only say "searching for satellite". Everything else seemed fine. Before failing had original ga-28 antenna. Would get 4 maybe 5 sats at poor/fair strength signal. Purchased "Glonass ga-38". Installed and within 10 seconds had 9-10 satellites FULL strength signal! Waaay better! Not only fixed my gps but improved its perf and accuracy substantially. I rarely find something that not only solves a problem but improves perf as well. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Review: Great performance, great price - Excellent, inexpensive, appears to require 5V input though I didn't see a spec. for that. Much better performance than mag mount antenna. Tested with Jackson Labs Fury receivers. ## Features - A quality product by Garmin ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00EVT2HSE | | Antenna | Radio | | AntennaDescription | Radio | | Best Sellers Rank | #207 in GPS Antennas | | Brand | Garmin | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 25 Reviews | | Impedance | 12 ohm | | Item Weight | 1.8 pounds | | Manufacturer | Garmin | | Maximum Range | 5 meters | | Mfr Part Number | 51176 | | Model Number | 101201700 | | Number of Channels | 40 | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 400002851189 012301602746 611105074041 | | Warranty Description | Comes with Manufacturer Warranty. | ## Product Details - **Antenna:** Radio - **Brand:** Garmin - **Color:** White - **Impedance:** 12 ohm - **Manufacturer:** Garmin - **Maximum Range:** 5 meters - **Number of Channels:** 40 - **Number of Items:** 1 - **UPC:** 400002851189 012301602746 611105074041 ## Images ![GA 38 GPS/GLONASS Antenna - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51pp9aKYULL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would mourning this upside down make a difference in accuracy, quality etc.?** A: Why would u mount upside down? **Q: Does it come with a new cable and how long** A: Comes with new cable I think it was 15 or 25ft of cable there's enough though I ran mine on top of my t-top down and had plenty left over hope that helps **Q: Will this work for my gps dashcam unit?** A: I doubt it but ask, Garmin. Most car gps's dont need an external antennae **Q: Will this antenna work on a 5212** A: This item will not work with a GPSMAP 5212. I would suggest looking into the GPS 19x NMEA 2000® or the GPS 19x HVS (NMEA 0183) . Those two antennas will have no issue workinf with your 5212 unit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacement antenna for Garmin Gpsmap 235 *by T***M on April 1, 2016* Have an older garmin gpsmap 235 on my boat. Much better performance than mag mount antenna. Tested with Jackson Labs Fury receivers. ### ⭐ Confused - 5-pin or single pin *by R***N on August 10, 2023* I was sent a 5-pin antenna. I have a single pin cable. Maybe somewhere in the description it states that the antenna is 5-pin --- maybe, but I couldn't find it. I called Garmin and spoke with customer service. They assured me that the GA 38 GPS/GLONASS Antenna is a single pin antenna and are shipping one to me. We'll see. In any case, if you are looking for a single pin antenna, that's not what this company is selling. ## Frequently Bought Together - GA 38 GPS/GLONASS Antenna - Garmin 0100209600 VHF 115 Marine Radio - Shakespeare 4187 SS Ratchet Mount --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/1284162-ga-38-gps-glonass-antenna](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/1284162-ga-38-gps-glonass-antenna) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
