Tinny and muffled so I only gave it 3 stars for that. They're loud enough for casual music since they're battery powered. But don't expect to blast them and have a big party around these little guys. Review: Surprisingly good sound - Pros: -Very decent sound for the price/size. Bass is not all that deep but highs come in great. On one particular trip they were stolen from my suitcase by airline personnel and I was very disappointed and didn't know where I could purchase another pair. But low and behold amazon.com has them for sale and at the same price I spent on them years ago. These are great for a variety of uses such as picnics or laptop speakers. They are small yet powerful and what I like best is that they have some "thump".
