I now use a plastic tag marker. They are a bit expensive but they work. I am not good at remembering what plant is what. So labels are important. I live in Florida so the sun is strong here. No problems yet. Here is the one I purchased. The tip is bigger than I like but not so important to me. https://markal.com/products/plastic-ear-tag-marker **Q: Are these marked with a recycling label to recycle after use?** A: I didn't not see that these were marked with any recycle label. If it was on the packaging, I didn't notice. I recycle everything anyway and reuse these labels year after year, so I don't bother looking for those notices. **Q: I need thin flexible labels. are these thin and flexible, or are they quite stiff?** A: They are flexible. **Q: could I use a punch label maker (like a dymo) and stick or will they peel off?** A: These are pretty flimsy labels for the garden. I’m not real happy with them but on other plastic labels I write on them with an intelligible pen, wait for it to dry and then spray it with a clear coat sealer. Works well.
