I loved it for all its history, details of a kitchen, and how recipes evolved in our time. Hats off to Chef Sadaf. One of the more homely books I have read. This book is not for shelf, but to be read and enjoyed and shared with your friends. Bonus: I got my book signed by the Author ;-) Review: Every food has a story - A good book with simple traditional recipes and the true story behind it. The author narrated it very well with nostalgic feeling. The drawback I found that the stories were elaborate so that the recipes were limited to just 30 numbers. It will be much better if it had balanced the recipes and stories ratio in a such a way that can accommodate more recipes . Also the recipes were very basic and some recipes were not seems accurate to the dish, may be a different variant, especially seems it wrong in the preparation of butter chicken. Sadaf is not just a chef but also a storyteller and takes you on a food/life journey. Every recipe has a personal story and the simplicity and unpretentiousness of the writing will make you want to come m back to it. PS- has a lot of recipes for vegetarians as well.
