I do have it on a rug, though, and I it doesn't roll as well as it probably would on tile or wood floor. Nonetheless, I do like it. They roll well, and both the laptop shelf and the side shelf are larger than others we've tried. The mechanism for holding the laptop shelf in place is flawed. On one of ours, there's some wobble in the shelf, and every now and then, the peg shifts and releases the shelf. I've caught my laptop about to take a drop to the floor. The other caddy is even worse, but assembly seemed a bit more difficult and I ended up stripping the head of a screw trying to get it in.
