Review: Nice, Functional Hygrometer - The hygrometer arrived about 10 days after I ordered it. What I liked about it was that it was ready to go out of the box--no need for calibration. The unit is powered by a small "button cell" battery which is provided. The dimensions of the unit are: 3.375 inches long x 2.125 inches wide x .375 inches deep. The unit is made to be mounted vertically on a flat metal surface (like a refrigerator). There is a metal mount with adhesive backing which allows you to mount the unit to a non-metal surface. The only downside to this little hygrometer is that it does not have a little stand in the back which would allow you to prop the unit up on a nightstand or table (like a picture holder). The picture of the item on desertcart leads you to believe that you can prop this up on a level surface, but you cannot. Functionally, the unit has worked very well, with humidity levels increasing when we use a humidifier and falling when the humidifier is off.

The hygrometer arrived about 10 days after I ordered it. What I liked about it was that it was ready to go out of the box--no need for calibration. Of all the electronic hygrometers commonly found on the market, I still believe this is the best. Reliable, simple, and durable, I've been using it for years and it has never failed me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gauge is off on humidity, make sure you use salt test to check.

Checked the device using the salt method and closed it in an air tight container I use as a tupperdore. Ordered two, one was 3 degrees off on humidity and the other was 2. No way to calibrate this model, so I suggest you check and use a sharpie to write down the offset on the device. Otherwise works well, temperature dead on.
