Versatile and Affordable Everyday Multitool
This multi-tool is a practical and affordable addition to my everyday carry collection. While the knife blade may not be high-end steel, it holds an edge well and is easy to sharpen. The pliers and wire cutters are handy for a variety of tasks. Although the tools require a break-in period, adding some oil helps to smooth out the function. The locking blade and included clip ensure safety and prevent accidental loss. This multi-tool has proven to be durable and reliable for my work in the construction area at a semiconductor Fab.

Not bad for the price
I have had several Leatherman and currently own a Wingman (I lost two in the past), which is about 2.5x more expensive. So I will compare them to tell you where you may miss out by paying less. The Amazon is sturdy, and the knife sharp, and tools are useful for its intended purpose. Both the knife and saw can be accessed from the outside and locked. The pliers are spring-loaded and the spring is hidden. Personally I prefer pliers that are not spring-loaded as they don't take up so much space when resting on the table. However the Amazon lacks polish in key areas which can impact your day to day use. First, there are more sharp edges on the Amazon, especially along the edges of the pliers, which are sharp enough to cut. Second many tools are very tight and hard to deploy. May be it will get looser over time, but the Leatherman has just the right amount of resistance from day 1. I have medium size hand. If you have big fingers and short nails, it would be very difficult to get some of the tools out. (Sometimes it seems that I need another tool just to get the tool out of the Amazon)Thus, I left the Amazon in the car as a back up in case of an emergency. For around the house and camping, I prefer the Leatherman because all the tools can be readily deployed without much fuss.

High quality and light weight for EDC.
Excellent for EDC. I like the lightweight design with plenty of cutouts, the locking blade, the imbedded spring to keep the pliers open, the little saw that I used on a small backyard branch yesterday! It's lightweight but not tiny-- large enough to grip with my whole hand while using the tools. I have a few expensive name brand folding multitools like this, but they're just too heavy for EDC and they don't have a locking blade. The pouch that comes with it makes carrying it on the belt easy.

great value for the price ; great for the car and the kitchen drawer
Got this on a Prime Day sale at 50% off. It's really handy. A great value at twelve dollars. An essential car and kitchen utensil! The knife locks open, so you can use it as a actual knife and not worry about it inopportunely closing on your fingers like some other pocket knives (but, you do have to remember to depress the lock in order to fold the knife back in). Pliers are fully functional. If it also had little scissors, it would be absolutely perfect.

A good value if you need what it has and you get a good one.
If you compare the listed tool functions there is no difference between the 8-in-1 and the more expensive 10-in-1 Amazon multitool. The dimensions are identical, the styling of the outer handles are slightly different.I looked for this style for two reasons.- The knife and other blade tools are directly accessible like a jack knife, without spreading the pliers handle open.- When used as a pliers the handle surface is relatively smooth and comfortable to grip. This multi-tool is a compromise. I could find no multitool that provided the functionality I thought I needed for what I consider a sane price. I had to add an EDC bit driver to handle the other stuff I do every day. Fortunately both tools can be fit in the same sheath.1. When using it as a pliers the handles latch firmly in position. The remaining blades have a detent action that holds them in position.2. All blades block the use of the pliers when they are open (imo, a safety benefit)3. uses:4. The knife blade positively locks open, using a leaf spring that engages with the back of the pivoting end. 5. The blades pivot so that their working edges are aligned with the outer handle surface.6. It's inexpensive enough that I can afford to lose it.Cons:1. If I didn't wear a web belt, it would be impractical for EDC.2. It's too large to carry in a pocket, too heavy to hang from the caribiner clip which is too small for Molle.3. It lacks a file.4. The assembly quality is mediocre The two handles are different thicknesss and the thicker one is not square.5. After using it as a folding pocket pliers on a project, I used the knife blade for the first time to cut through some packaging straps. A screw at the pliers/knife pivot sheared off halfway down its threaded section, rendering the pliers, knife and saw unusable. This was to be my primary EDC tool. I've never never been less than satisfied with the quality of an Amazon Basic product, which I why I tried this one. But I've NEVER experienced any folding knife failing at the pivot before this one. I don't know whether the failure was from defective screw, poor choice of screw quality, or an assembly error. If that screw hadn't broken, I could have lived with it. But since it failed under light use, I can't trust the product to do its job when I need it. . I'm returning it for credit

Great for the price
I bought several of these for stocking stuffers. They are really well made and have already been used...to the satisfaction of the one who has already used the gift. They are not of the same quality as a Leatherman, but they are a fraction of the cost, well made, with plenty of tools.

Verry sharp
This is verry usefully it is solid and will not open up in my pocket. The knifes are verry sharp and thw around of tools in this one item are great. But it is verry stiff Maybe it needs to be broken in but I cannot open it conveniently with one hand. It's only slightly too small I wish it was just slightly bigger. But verry practical to have for meny sitituations
