The pages can withstand a pretty fair amount of abuse (paint, inks, texture pastes). Markers (especially alcohol markers) do tend to bleed, but that doesn't bother me - I just either cover up the other side with acrylic paints, paper, inks or use gesso. The little pocket on the inside cover is great for putting in extra bits or photos that I want to use later. I was worried that, with all the extra layers I add, the binding would burst but - so far - everything is staying together and the elastic helps keep the booklet closed. I have 4 of these in progress and I plan to buy a few more since the price is good for the size and quality of the paper.
