For once the "adspeak" such as the noise being a quiet hum are true. I've used rental units, and had the restoration company's expensive severe duty use models, in addition to purchasing inexpensive small and large blowers. Honestly would have appreciated having fans this quiet when a water tank issue necessitated blowers running 24/7 for days in my own home, we'd have all slept better! If you look into the mechanical issues of why one fan is louder than another, poor quality and design are the biggest factor in why some will have an annoying whine or loud turbulence. So many of these look near identical, but a choice few are actually better than the rest.
