Will love conquer all?🌻 MY TAKE 🌻Cover and Title: The cover and title are simple yet beautiful.As soon as I read the prologue, I was hooked to the story. As the story proceeded, it made me smile, laugh, and even shed a few tears. Somewhere in the middle, I knew what lied ahead but still I hoped for a happy ending with all my heart and it did end happily so yayy!The story is written beautifully and has a well-constructed plot. It had some Bollywood touch to it, with all the drama and romance. The narration is smooth and hence it was very easy for me to connect to the plot and the characters. The pace is perfect, neither too fast nor too slow. The only thing that bugged me was the repetition of certain words and phrases.The characters were well constructed. I loved how Veronica transformed from a weak girl to a strong woman. I absolutely loved Aditya, he was like the sun of the story, all happy and shining bright! Even the supporting characters were lovable.Talking about the romantic aspect of the book, I could feel the love. I got all swoony and was like: it only happens in the books but I still loved reading about it!The book also brought into the light, the darker side of the TV industry.Okay, so guys, I have not dived very deep into the plot because it would spoil everything for you. The beginning of the story is meticulously crafted to give a sense of comfort to the reader. But at the same time, it instigates the reader to ask questions. The author has managed to capture the attention of his readers from page one. This book is immensely interactive and that is one thing that I love most about this book.The characters of this book are worth falling for. Veronica is introduced as a struggling woman on whose shoulder rests the responsibility of her family. After her father’s demise, Veronica finds it absolutely difficult to take care of a large family of 5. She puts in a lot of effort but always comes up short. Finally, when she gets a modeling assignment, she is elated hoping that this would somehow stabilize her family. But instead of everything coming up Veronica, she ends up being sexually harassed by her possible employers. This incident pulled the last thread. Veronica soon decides to end her life and this is when she meets Aditya.Aditya is the son of Vikramjeet Bakshi, who is a well-known business tycoon. He has everything in his life that he wants, except one thing. He needs love. And not just any love, his father’s love. Growing up Aditya has never experienced any form of love or appreciation from his father. And it has made life tough for him in many ways.Aditya saves Veronica’s life by preventing her from jumping into the Arabian sea. And they soon fall in love. Like every love story, they too have to overcome innumerable difficulties in order to have a happy ending.The plot and characters of ‘Our Love Story’ are layered. There are many unsaid things and many things which have a much deeper meaning. It encourages you to discover more about these characters. In addition to this, the author has portrayed the suffering of Aditya and Veronica, both mental and emotional in a subtle yet captivating manner.This is a must-read if you are into romantic fiction. It not only talks about Aditya and Veronica as a couple but also about Aditya and Veronica as individuals. And this is something that is missing in more modern romantic creations.
