I used it both orally and topically. It did seem to work along with the steroids injections given by the vet. He is in remission but I will definitely buy more to keep on hand. New... I have been using this over the past year to disinfect the water filters for my cat fountains, use for cuts or cat scratches and so forth. It has truly been remarkable. My biggest results came from cutting my leg with a molding nails at it was sticking out of my doorway. It was quick and deep at least an eighth of an inch deep and an inch long. it was so deep that it didn't even start bleeding until a minute or two later. I went straight for my silver bottle and put a few drops on the open cut then applied a Band-Aid with some on the pad. The next day I removed the Band-Aid to check the cut and it was completely sealed. I thought for sure it would open with infection but it wasn't even sore to the touch. One day and it actually healed. This was something that probably could have used a stitch to hold it closed. I also contribute the seal from my waterproof clear Band-Aids because they securely held everything in place. I have had my share of cats scratches and a few bites with my rescue kittens. As soon as I am scratched I immediately put a drop on the scratch and rub it in. If it is a puncture I immediately put a dropper to and rub it deep into the puncture.
