A: There are two tools included with this kit.  One is the power probe itself and the other is a multi meter.  The power probe is strictly DC 12volt.  It is used to test and power automotive electrical systems.  The other tool is the multi meter and can be used to test both AC and DC electrical systems.  AC electrical systems would be typical household electrical and appliances.  Hope that helps.

A: Not the meter The power probe itself will if you have an 12vdc supply and ground the probe
