Will spillway work before container overflows?** A: Sure. The front lip is lower than the 3 side walls. There should be a connection hole already in the rear where the hose connects. No drilling needed. **Q: Can i stack stone on it** A: Absolutely! I stacked stones around mine, bridging the top and even had some in the spillway. Good Quality though. *by K***W on May 19, 2023* The hole for the adapter is in the back. I really wanted it to be in the side but I can deal with it. The adapter allows you to choose from many sizes but it is very long. The small portion is what I need and it is on the furthest end. So it really sticks out a lot. I may need to play with it to get it right. Or buy another adapter to make the connection. The larger the hose you have the better this will work out. I have a 850 GPH Pump and the flow is ok but really could have used more. Wouldn't want any less for sure. The whole thing seems to be made of a very durable material. I am pleased with the quality of it. I am happy to be able to add some media to it and use it as an additional filter. For the money it is really good.
