I’ve been using these black ones for many years. Other manufacturers make great detectors, but their pinpointers that I’ve tried don’t compare to Garrett in simplicity, reliability, and quality. These are perfect for beginners and pros. You won’t be disappointed no matter what kind of detector you use. Review: I’m a Garett Fan - I bought this pointer to replace my old Garrett pointer. I’ve had the old one for a lot of years. It still works, I’ve just worn the tip out due to how often I’ve used it. I also purchased another Garrett “carrot” pointer when I made this purchase. It also was to replace my old one. In all honesty, I prefer the black pointer better in most environments. That’s just personal preference, either one is great. ## Features - PINPOINT ACCURACY: 360° detection field locates targets with precision, reducing recovery time for treasure hunters. - WATER-RESISTANT DESIGN: Meets IP66 standards—tip can be submerged, and unit operates in rain or under running water. - FAST RETUNE FUNCTION: Quickly tunes out mineralized ground, wet sand, or saltwater to enhance target accuracy. - LED FLASHLIGHT: Built-in light improves visibility in low-light conditions while preserving battery life. - READY TO USE: Comes with a woven belt holster and a 9V battery, so you can start treasure hunting immediately. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B015HOY72A | | Battery Average Life | 60 minutes | | Best Sellers Rank | #64,988 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #83 in Metal Detectors | | Brand | Garrett Metal Detectors | | Brand Name | Garrett Metal Detectors | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,163 Reviews | | Display Type | LED | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00786156004610 | | International Protection Rating | IP54 | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 9.7"L x 2.4"W x 2.4"H | | Item Weight | 7.84 ounces | | Manufacturer | Garrett Metal Detectors | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1166050 | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | 1166050 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Dimensions | 9.7"L x 2.4"W x 2.4"H | | Recommended Uses For Product | Metal Detection | | UPC | 786156003507 786156004610 634753620538 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | search coil size | 5.08 centimeters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Garrett Metal Detectors - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 7.84 ounces - **Material:** Plastic - **Power Source:** Battery Powered ## Images ![Garrett Pro-Pointer II Metal Detector Pinpointer, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61OttgKMLsL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How small of an object can it detect?** A: So far mine has detected a steel BB at three inches that my Lobo Super tract hit at 7 inches down. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m a Garett Fan *by K***N on February 25, 2026* I bought this pointer to replace my old Garrett pointer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sensitive & accurate worth every $$! *by F***K on October 9, 2018* Used for pinpointing buried detected metal (targets) i.e. desired coins or other detectable items (nails, pull tabs, foil). I bought a Kumon $39.00 pointer to start with, although a good price point, the Garrett Pro-Pointer II is "spot-on" with minimal falsing and greater range. I use several detectors i.e., Garrett ACE 200, Tesoro Compadre, Bounty Hunter Lonestar Pro. You have to practice with all of your tools to "get the feel" of detecting. I revisited a local park where I live (early am) and detected a couple of $$ worth of misc. coins. I discriminated out pull tabs / bottle caps, and then "opened it up" to reject only iron. This pinpointer (Garrett) is very accurate-- about 3 inches + or more pointing straight down over a coin. When you dig up some soil, sand, I hold it sideways and spread it over the soil/sand. It beeps when finding something, vibrates/pulses when closer, then solid tone when right over target. (The Kuman is good as an entry level pinpointer - but you will soon advance to something better). My only crit is that it is black and hard to see if you drop it, and not optic yellow, or orange, like the waterproof Garret models. It features "lost" functions and beeps every few seconds if left on for awhile (but tone is not loud). GO FOR IT! PS - I returned to my back yard with it along with my Tesoro, pulled up about 12 old nails buried in my yard - probably from a late 70s add on to house. No coins, but it was nice, as on a beach, to get rid of junk. Sorry for long winded review - but that's my experience. ## Frequently Bought Together - Garrett Pro-Pointer II Metal Detector Pinpointer – 360° Detection, LED Flashlight, Waterproof Tip, Fast Retune, Lost Alarm, Includes Holster & Battery - Metal Detector Shovel, Kemaier Heavy Duty Double Serrated Edge Digger, Metal Detecting Digging Tool with Sheath for Belt Mount, Gardening Accessories for Metal Detection Digging Loosening Planting - Garrett ACE 300 Metal Detector for Adults - Made in The USA - Waterproof Coil and Headphone Plus Accessories --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/19980756-garrett-pro-pointer-ii-metal-detector-pinpointer-black](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/19980756-garrett-pro-pointer-ii-metal-detector-pinpointer-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
