Even before I bought it I verified that there is room in my case for it. I didn't buy the one with the volume control because it adds height. I put a little pillow under it. At first I tried LDPE but that was too spongy, not enough support. Fortunately the foam in the packaging it came in was just right. You want to cut the thickness slightly bigger than the gap for an interference fit. The gap on mine was 7mm. Doesn't affect the sound at all. In addition I put an extender on the cord with a 1/4" F to F adapter so I don't forget and walk too far away and I put the cord behind my strap so it's tight to the lower bout. My bandmates are going to think I've gone insane.
