They're not coming off, maybe ever (unless I want them to). The darker brown color matched great with the my chair legs; the process of putting them on was easier than putting jeans on when your legs are wet. You adjust and gradually get it pretty fast. At first I was genuinely worried about which size would fit best, given the built in "feet" at the bottom already which were just scratchy plastic and smaller (see image for reference) than the base of the leg. I thought it would be an odd fit. In the end I went with a diameter as wide as the actual base of the leg (size small) and this ended up being a great move. I wouldn't get too caught up on sizes because these guys are so adaptable. Man, am I impressed with the strength. Last advice would be that if you are trying to color match a brown, only get the dark brown if you truly have a dark, dark brown piece. Even these guys look a little darker, but I am not that picky about it– just trying to think of considerations because I figure the lighter brown option would have been fine too if that was the only option. If you're considering these, don't hesitate any longer. Moving my chairs is a smooth and subtle whisper of a sound now. No screeches or damaged surfaces ever again.
