I applied mine in very hot weather and it dried VERY fast, as did the sealant. I did the Cool product on one day and the sealant the following day. **Q: I have brick coping around my pool and spa and they’re hot when in the sun. Can I apply this over the brick coping as well to make them cooler too?** A: we have a concert deck and it really made a difference you can walk around the pool which is 40 x 20 and never get hot **Q: I have an existing deck that has been coated w/ coolkote and portions of the concrete were be replaced. can this be used over the existing coolkote?** A: I used it over original cool dek and concrete and it great. If the too texture is the same it will work **Q: How thickly can the coating be applied. I have a standing water from a poorly laid concrete extension and a feathered thickness of 3/8" would fix it.** A: Hi. Thanks for your question. Cool can be applied in multiple coats to correct small issues with standing water. However, when you get to 3/8", you're probably better off with a leveling compound that you can find at your local home improvement center. These compounds are less expensive and do a good job of repairing issues such as yours. My annual power washing had exposed some of the concrete and it had began to look unsightly. We waited for a warm but not hot day and followed the directions. I purchased 2 of these containers and was able to completely coat the side I was planning to work on, as well as most of a second patio on the other side of the pool. It was a fairly easy process though time consuming to first clean the surface (wait a day), apply the coating (wait a day) and then apply the water proofing, but a year has gone by and it still looks fantastic. At the beginning of this summer (2020) I applied additional water proofing and it has held up very well. I plan to apply additional water proof (Behr) every year but other than that I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Update Dec 2025: I was just not admiring the coating that I applied 6 years ago. I was very careful to follow the instructions and the application still is in great shape!
